Learn to make by hand

In the historic village of Waterford

The Waterford Craft School seeks to preserve traditional methods used in craft and building arts through hands-on immersive instruction. We encourage participants to learn make-by-hand skills by offering classes to the public that are taught by experts in their fields.

The Waterford Craft School serves the educational mission of the Waterford Foundation and works with the Waterford Fair to provide opportunities for artisans to demonstrate and teach while for students to experience and learn.

Waterford Craft School Class features:

Hands-on instruction
Crafts & Building Arts
Ages 18 and up
Varying class lengths
Lunch included

NOTICE: Due to COVID-19 our April, May, and June 2020 sessions have been canceled and rescheduled to a later date.

Crafts in the time of Coronavirus: On behalf of the Waterford Craft School, we hope you are truly well and safe at home. We are heeding CDC recommendations and adjusting as new information becomes available. We have adapted to the new Coronavirus restrictions by cancelling or postponing our previously-planned spring and summer classes. We will be in touch with instructors and registered students to provide updates on the status of classes as conditions change. When we do reopen, classes will be limited to 8 students, and masks will be required. We’ll keep the School extra-clean and provide hand sanitizer. Please visit our News tab for more information. If you have any questions please email our Education Associate, Lisa Kovatch ([email protected]). We appreciate your patience as we adjust our schedule to safely hold our workshops.
