Bridget Brown
Bridget Brown, of Bridget’s Farm Cart and Head Spring Fiber Mill, is a full time shepherd and seasoned artist. She spins, dyes, felts, weaves and depicts her farm life with a variety of mediums (including wool!). She owns and operates a fiber mill on her farm, and processes 1000s of pounds of wool a year from her flock as well as for others.
With over 60 wool sheep of different breeds (that all have names), Bridget has developed many creative ways to use the wool from all her various sheep. Join her on December 8, 2024 for a holiday needle felting workshop. Students will be creating a holiday themed wool painting note card. Beginners welcome.
Bridget is a Chairperson of the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival Fleece Sale and is a member of the Loudoun Valley Sheep Producers Association. Her farm, “Head Spring Farm”, located in Jefferson County, WV is also a popular stop during the Over the Mountain Studio Tour in November each year.
