Description: The quiet winter months are the perfect time to plan a garden. If you struggle to grow plants and vegetables, gain confidence in this series of four, one-hour workshops! Learn how to select a garden site and prepare soil, choose the right plants for your small space garden, keep plants alive, and grow healthy food for you and your family.
Week One: Learn about how to select the perfect spot to grow your small-space garden, what kinds of containers can be used, and how to prepare your soil for optimal health and yields!
Week Two: We will discuss choosing the right plants for your small space garden, as well as where to buy seeds and plant starts. We will even learn to start veggies from seed!
Week Three: Let’s kick the “black thumb” label to the curb and learn how to care for our plants. We will discuss proper watering, sunlight, pest control, and more!
Week Four: In our final session, we will learn how to get the most out of your plants by harvesting, pruning, succession planting, and propagating for higher yields.
This series will culminate in an in-person, social-but-physically distanced seed swap at Waterford Old School on Saturday, March 27th.
Cost: $120.00
