Description: Create an adjustable sterling silver bracelet and ring with Waterford Landmark Artisan Linda Van Hart!
Using individual class tool kits, you will measure and cut 14 gauge sterling silver wire to size. After watching the demonstration of lighting the acetylene torch, balling wire, and the safe use of torch chemicals, you will have the opportunity to work with the torch to ball your own wire. Learn to coordinate using a pair of pliers in each hand to form the pieces. Following a step by step demonstration, you will shape your silver into wearable designs. The hallmark will include a stamp of sterling, your signature, and the date. As the class winds down, you’ll learn a bit of history of the Maasai inspiration for these designs. If there is time to create a more intricate design, additional sterling will be made available to purchase.
