Wreath-Making with Native Plants

Instructor: Virginia Master Naturalists

Learn about plants native to Virginia and their importance in establishing healthy habitats, conserving water and energy, and preserving soils in this class hosted by the Virginia Master Naturalists. Get tips and tricks on how to incorporate native plantings into your own home garden and which plants attract pollinators.

This brief instructional session will be followed by a wreath making class featuring dried and preserved native plants, plus examples of invasive plants. Wreath bases, greenery and decorations will be provided along with twine and floral wire. 

All plant materials provided will be foraged locally, but all plants may not be native.

$50 Class Fee
$10 Materials Fee

  • Get tips on incorporating native plants into your home garden

  • Leave with a completed holiday wreath featuring preserved native plants

Please bring gardening gloves, clippers, scissors, and a glue gun in you have one. A few glue guns will be provided.
