Bring this crispy, smoky, wood-fired cooking method to your home.

Stack, Fire, Bake — Join David S. Cargo to learn how to build a portable stacked-brick oven. After the outdoor oven is built,  students will fire it up and learn how to make dough for flatbreads, pizza, and bread. Bake and enjoy naan, pita bread, and pizza from the hot brick oven!

  • Learn how to construct a wood oven at home.

  • Learn how to control temperature and time when using these ovens.

  • Practice baking and eat what you make!

Instructor: David Cargo

Class Length:  One day

Date: Saturday, June 1: 9am — 5pm

No. of Students:  Minimum 3, Maximum 15

Tools:  Sturdy shoes, sun hat, work gloves, portable chair, note-taking material.

Description: Students will leave with knowledge of building stacked brick ovens, plans for three different sizes of ovens, and practice in baking in these ovens.
