Saturday and Sunday June 6-7, 2020
Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM
Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM
Ages 18+ years
Old School, Waterford, Virginia
Students will construct a deckle and mold to use in class and at home. They will use different equipment to see different size and shape of paper. They will learn the paper making vocabulary. They will begin by recycling everyday paper and then add leaves, flowers, grass, etc to decorate the paper. After learning paper making, they will then get a sheet of pulp to make paper from plant material.
On day 2, students will flatten their paper using an iron (if necessary) and then create a lovely journal. Each journal will then be hand sewn.
