Shaped by hand and hand gouged — make your everyday tools more special.

In this one day class, students will split out blanks from a section of green cherry wood, which will be used to create functional treenware to take home.

  • Learn to use a shaving horse, froes, bent gouges, dividers, spokeshaves, and spoon gouges.

  • Learn the proper way to carve treenware that will last.

  • Create your own treenware item to take home. Then make more! These make excellent gifts.

Instructor: Stan Jennings

Class Length:  One day

Date: Saturday, May 4: 9am — 5pm

No. of Students:  Minimum 3, Maximum 5

Tools: Feel free to bring your own tools but instructor will provide enough for everyone.
